Volume 1, Issue 15APPLICATION ARTICLE We have just completed an application article whereby our Entertron Integrator - MBH Engineering Systems of Lynnfield, MA. retrofitted Elite-2000 ePLCs at a wire manufacturer, replacing a Panel Mate display with the Beijer 10.4" H series color display. more >>> We are always looking to present our customer's applications. The advantages of doing an application article are as follows:
Some of our past articles have received favorable indexing with specific search terms.
Our goal is to generate similar results for any article we develop. Please note that we may not be successful in generating favorable indexing with all articles due to search term popularity and search engine algorithm modifications. Our application page is also well indexed with the Google search engine:

ENTERTRON ADVANTAGE Over the last two years, Entertron has developed a different approach to selling other vendor products that enhance our primary ePLC product. In the past, we have private labeled these products whereby we would purchase directly from the vendor and resell under the Entertron name. Due to collapsing prices, specifically in the touch screen market, we were unable to generate the margins required to justify our continued course. Rather than abandon the market all together, not to mention the favorable indexing we have generated in such terms as "plc touchscreen" and "touchscreen plc", we decided that instead of selling the product directly, we would become another marketing vehicle for our vendors.
Starting in 2005 we transferred all of our operator interface and touch screen customers' accounts to our vendors, whereby our customers would be directly billed by the vendor. We now act as a manufacturer's "master" representative for these products. The only difference to the customer is that they now have two invoices to pay (the PLC invoice from Entertron and the interface invoice from the vendor) There are several advantages to this approach:
Note - All operator interface and touch screen vendors accept major credit cards. Account status is at the discretion and review of the vendor. Entertron is not involved in this process. Therefore, this approach has been a win, win scenario for everyone involved...The OEM gets a better price, the vendor earns a better margin. As a manufacturer that markets its products worldwide, we are able to utilize our existing marketing tools to promote these products in the same manner. As a result, we have received inquiries worldwide. As a "master rep." we are not limited by territory to promote our vendor's products. Entertron does receive orders for screens that do not use an Entertron ePLC, however, there are advantages to using the Entertron products in your application, rather than one of our competitor's PLCs. When you purchase an Entertron ePLC and operator interface / touch screen, we include at no additional cost the interface cable. This is typically a $50 - $70 item for other PLCs. For OEMs, purchasing in quantity, this is a decent savings.
