The
OEM
Friendly Company.
Why
do we call ourselves the "OEM" Friendly
Company?
Entertron's
product focus is directed to the original
equipment manufacturers (OEMs). Our goal is to
enhance our OEM customers business by:
Protecting your
intellectual property (program)
Repeat business
(Sales after the original sale)
Providing Value
through additional services
Providing an
industrial product offering, eliminating
additional components required by other
PLC manufacturers.
Providing efficient
means for servicing new and existing
products.
Every
area of your business will benefit from
Entertron's approach.
Here's
How!!!
To
Purchasing: How can Entertron make you more
productive?
Our
standard part numbering system eliminates the
need for multiple part numbers. Most of our
products can be ordered with one part number.
Whereby, with other manufacturer's controllers,
you need several part numbers for one system.
Entertron
can also provide you with a "special part
number". Imagine one part number for an ePLC
and operator interface or touch screen. That
isn't fantasy, it can be reality for your
company, because it is for several customers
already.
Entertron's
programming software is FREE.
One CD for all software (ePLC, operator
interface, touch screen and peripherals) you will
require from Entertron.
You
can order product via blanket orders. One P.O.
with multiple releases. There will always be a
release in the works for you. You will save on
lead time and increase your buying power.
Should
you standardize on Entertron's controllers, you
will never have to order additional software.
Typical
PLCs offer minimal output ratings (typically 2
amp relay outputs and 0.5 amp triac or
transistor) Entertron's output ratings dwarf the
competition. You will save time and cost because
you won't have to purchase additional components,
such as relays, fuses, diodes, MOVs, etc...
To
Sales: How can Entertron improve your selling
potential?
By
the appearance of our products. Your asking, how
can the look of a product increase your sales?
Our embedded approach to the PLC (board level
without an enclosure) provides the appearance of
a proprietary control board. How? Because our
ePLCs do not look like a standard off the shelf
controller, and our name appears only on the
circuit board, a larger percentage of your
customers will contact you before they would
contact us. More times than not, when using a
"name brand" PLC, the end user will
contact a local distributor. With Entertron's
approach, you have a greater potential that they
will contact you.
An
interesting approach some of our customer's have
taken is by providing a "replacements
kit" or "spare parts kit". One of
our controllers is usually included. If down time
is critical, then an additional controller is
similar to an insurance policy - It is there if /
when you need it.
What
is the standard warranty for most industrial
products? If you said 1 year, you are correct.
Entertron offers a 5 year warranty on our Smart-PAK
series and SK1600-RIC, and 7 years on the
Elite-2000. How will our warranty help your
sales? Answer - By offering our warranty on the
controls portion of your equipment establishes
value. With all things, including price being
equal, should you offer an extended warranty at
no additional cost could gain you a sale you may
not have received.
To
Engineering: How can Entertron make life easier
for you?
The
biggest bone of contention with most engineers is
software. Every manufacturer charges for it,
whether actual upgrades, bug fixes or new
versions. With Entertron, there is no charge for
any programming software we provide. Other
manufacturers provide less expensive versions for
specific families and a more expensive version
that will cover an entire family of controllers.
Entertron's ladder logic programming software
covers ALL THREE product lines.
The
operator interface / touch screen software is
usually separate from the PLC programming
software. With Entertron, ALL software is on one
CD and the cost is FREE. Also included in our
ePLC programming software is an off line run
simulator where you can debug a program without
hardware.
Typical
PLCs offer minimal output ratings (typically 2
amp relay outputs and 0.5 amp triac or
transistor) Entertron's output ratings dwarf the
competition. You will save time in development.
How
many times have you required a modification to
the PLC and the manufacturer says no, or the cost
is out of this world? Entertron can make various
modifications to controllers for that unique
situation. To find out if we can assist you,
contact us to discuss your application
requirements.
Entertron's
products are not the smallest on the market, but
they are the most flexible. Our embedded approach
allows for various mounting options. Our output
ratings eliminate the need for additional
components.
To
Production: How can Entertron make fabrication of
your products better?
As
stated earlier, given the more industrial ratings
of our controllers, you will wire less
components.
There
are more mounting options and less restrictions
for heat dissipation.
All
of Entertron's controllers use pluggable terminal
blocks for one time wiring. All memory is
socketed.
Once
you have developed your program, Entertron can
provide you with the controllers already
programmed. If you have multiple programs, simply
let us know how many of each program you require.
To
Service: How can Entertron improve service of
your product?
On
the rare occasion when an Entertron controller
requires repair, removal and reinstallation are
very simple. All terminals are pluggable. No more
removing wires and tagging them. Simply unplug
all terminals, replace the controller and plug in
existing wiring. For the program, simply unplug
the socketed memory chip and install it in the
new controller.
Every
Entertron controller is marked with a serial
number. We track product as far back as 1980.
When calling about replacements, include the
serial number. We can tell you the exact
configuration, when it was purchased, and by
whom.
Entertron
repairs its own controllers up to 10 years. You
do not have to use a third party repair house.
To
Management: How can Entertron add value and save
costs beyond the departments already mentioned?
Avoid
customer specification by using Entertron's
embedded programmable logic controllers. If it
doesn't look like a PLC, why call it a PLC. You
will save money on all the software you would be
required to purchase.
You
will save valuable engineering and development
time because your engineers will not be required
to learn several different PLC manufacturers
programming software.
Protect
your intellectual property that you have worked
so hard on developing. With other PLC
manufacturer's controllers, they offer password
protection for the ladder logic file that is
stored in the controller. Simply put, pass words
can be broken. Entertron provides only one file
in the ePLC, and that is the .hex file. Your
program can not be extracted because it isn't
there. This is the ultimate in protection. You
the developer have total control over whom you
give your program to. You don't get this with the
other PLC manufacturers.
Ensure
replacement parts business. To all of our
customers currently doing business with us,
should any of your customers contact Entertron
for replacement parts, we will forward them back
to you. We have serial number information dating
back to 1980. No other manufacturer will provide
this level of protection. They are most concerned
with the sale...and that is it. We value every
OEM relationship we have established. This is
just one way of saying thank you to our current
and longstanding customers.
Our
Guarantee!!!
As
a current OEM customer, Entertron will vow to
protect your intellectual property and
replacement parts business by not selling to your
customers. We will direct all inquiries related
to your serial numbered products directly back to
you.
No
other PLC manufacturer has or will put this in
writing. Entertron has.
