Web / Press Release For publication: Entertron introduces serial interface MAC - PWM card Gasport, NY - February 19, 2009 - Entertron Industries Inc., the innovation leader in embedded programmable logic controller solutions, announces the introduction of the MAC - PWM card. MAC represents Multi-Application Control. This board has been designed with flexible I/O whereby different applications can be designed around this versatile board. The first application is a two channel high current PWM output card that can be interfaced through either analog outputs from the PLC or via RS485. Protocols available will be ASCII and ModBus RTU. With the incorporation of the RS485 port, multiple units can be interfaced to a single PLC. The MAC - PWM card can be ordered with either one or two high current PWM outputs. The units are capable of up to 5 amps / PWM output. An enhanced version will also be available, with the capability of up to 15 amps / PWM output. The MAC design also includes the following:
The MAC design utilizes the PIC 16F88 micro-controller and can be programmed using the PIC Basic Pro software. Other programming platforms available are, PIC Basic, Assembly and C / C++ software compilers, thus providing multiple methods to configure this flexible design enabling it for many different small applications. Entertron does offer programming services to develop applications for this new multiple application control board. Call for current pricing.
