Vehicle Restraint Controller
Entertron Industries has developed a controller specifically designed for the vehicle restraint market. The controller (VRC-G2) was developed to provide a more reliable, noise immune product. The design was based on Entertron’s Smart-PAK micro ePLC and was modified to incorporate 2 15 amp relays to directly control the vehicle restraint actuator.
Extensive testing was performed on the VRC-G2. In excess of 40,000 1 minute cycles were performed. The testing was the equivalent of 16 years of flawless performance, based on operating the vehicle restraint an average of 10 times per day. Entertron is providing a 3 year warranty on the VRC-G2.
Unlike other vehicle restraint controllers, the VRC-G2 is programmable using Entertron’s ladder logic software and dedicated specifically for the vehicle restraint industry. Now vehicle restraint manufacturers can have a dedicated controller designed for vehicle restraints and programs like a PLC using relay ladder logic. Vehicle restraint manufacturers would be able to purchase directly from Entertron and incorporate the VRC-G2 into their systems.
The VRC-G2 can be used in the following setups:
- 2 light
- 2 light with audible alarm
- 3 light (current program installed when ordered)
