Warranty
Entertron
Warrants that its embedded programmable logic
controllers are free of manufactuer errors and
component defects for a period of no less than 5
(five) years for all relay output controllers
(Smart-PAK, Smart-PAK PLUS, SK1600-RIC) and 7
(seven) years for all solid state controllers
(Elite-2000). The effective date is from the date
of shipment from Entertron's facility.
All
replacement only controller warranties are 1 year
only from the date of purchase. These controllers
are:
- SK1600
- SK1600-R2
- SK1600-R3
- SK1600-RSA
- SK1800
Note - The
above listed controllers are available for
replacement only and are not offered for current
OEM applications.
Serial
numbers are provided to every controller and
operator interface shipped from Entertron's
manufacturing facility. Information associated
with each serial number are:
- Customer
of record (OEM or Distributor)
- Controller
configuration
- Date
of purchase / shipment
In the
event that an Entertron product is found to have
a component defect or manufacturer error, the
following will be done by Entertron:
- A
Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA)
number will be issued
- The
defective unit will be returned to
Entertron for evaluation.
- The
controller will be repaired and returned
to the customer at no charge, via UPS
ground shipping method (Air shipments
will be charged)
- Should
Entertron not be able to repair the
defective controller under warranty,
Entertron will replace to the customer at
no additional cost, a new controller.
Method of shipment is UPS ground. (Air
shipments will be charged)
The
Entertron warranty is void under the following
circumstances and not limited to:
- Defect
is the result of customer error (ie.:
incorrectly wiring power to controller)
- Customer
attempts repair of controller or operator
interface
- Act
of nature damages product beyond repair
(ie.: lightening strike, flood, brown
out, etc...)
Non - Warranty
Product
that requires repair and is not covered under the
warranty period stated above, is subject to a
$100 evaluation fee.
A repair
cost will be determined during evaluation. The
final repair cost will be determined based on the
labor and components required to repair the
product. The customer will be notified of the
cost prior to any work done. Should the customer
wish not to proceed with the repair or the
controller is deemed non-repairable, the customer
is still subject to the evaluation fee. The
evaluation fee will be waived if the customer
orders a replacement controller.
The
evaluation fee includes the following:
- Complete
diagnostic and testing
- Updated
to current specifications if required
